How to create volume group from STL file of assembly

Hello,

I have created STL file simple assembly of two concentric cylinders and imported it into Salome. But How can I create different volume groups for the two cylinders? I could not be able to select any of them when creating volume group. Anyone knows? Thank you.

Even I can build solid from the STL file, it can only generate the outer shell.

 

I could not create volume group for the inner core. 

 

Anyone knows why? Thanks.
