Help compiling a fortran program against MED lib in Windows

Posted by javimm at January 16. 2015

Hi.

I've written finite flement solver in Fortran under Linux that reads a MED file and outputs in MED file too. I have no problem conpiling it and linking under Linux.

I want to port it to windows. I'm using Visual Studio 2013 and Intel Fortran to try this, but I have absolutely no clue on how to compile the program.

I've downloaded all windows packages for Salome and I've found what seems to be the library: libmedc.dll, which seems to indicate that it's a C library. Is this the lib I must link against?

Is MED compiled so I can link a Fortran program?. How can I do it?. My code should need very little changes (only a couple lines of code) as it's standard Fortran 90/95 code. Some directions on how to compile it and link it are appreciated.

My program can be downloaded for free (GPL) here, in case you need to look at the source:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/yafems

Thank you very much.
